Do I Want To Use AI For My Hypnosis Practice?
Recently I had a first session with a new client. Part of the process in the first session is to write a script together about the clients goal. We spend an hour and a half to 2 hours for the first session. Getting the script right is important to me because they will listen to an audio of it daily to reinforce the goal. It is a collaborative process that can take between 30-45 minutes to write.
My client asked if I ever used AI to write my scripts. He told me how he had used it recently for a letter and how powerful it was. I paused for a moment to process the question. I told him “I rarely used AI and had not used it for client scripts. I am sure there can be benefits of using AI for a script but that it is an intuitive process for me.”
I am sure there are hypnosis practitioners that embrace AI and find it helpful. I have sparingly used AI to help get me started with training material or newsletters. I like relying on me for the creative process.
There is something magical in the script writing process. Sometimes a thought will pop in my head that is spot on or exactly what the client was thinking. Writing the script together gives me the chance to probe and get to know the client in a deeper way which helps me in my sessions.
I see my practice as a human to human experience. There is something in the alchemy of writing a script with the client that creates a connection between us that carries through the sessions. The process of writing the script creates trust and a safe space which is necessary for the work. For now I enjoy the intuitive process of my work and that is not something I am ready to change.
