3 Ways Hypnosis Can Help You with a Cancer Diagnosis

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be frightening. You may feel shock at first and then wonder why you have cancer.

When Mary B. Battaglia was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in 2021 it felt like her whole life changed over night. She understands first hand the feelings and emotions you feel and how to pause and catch your breath. Her tool belt of hypnosis techniques gave her strength, love and support as she navigated a challenging time in her life.

How can hypnosis support you with a cancer diagnosis?

Hypnosis can help you clear your mind so you feel less overwhelmed.

  • Create 2-3 positive statements about the situation and say them daily.  For example, I am strong, My body can fight and win, I have the power to get through this time.

  • Take a deep breath and release what you want to let go on the exhale so you feel more relaxed and lighter.

Hypnosis can also help you look within to remove fears or blocks that may get in the way of your healing. Create hypnosis scripts about you responding well to the treatments, receiving the healing from the medication, visualizing your mind and body healing, pain management, increase energy and creating a strong mind set to persevere during this time.

Ask For help during cancer

We all need help when an illness strikes. Let family and friends help make things a little easier. Talk to social workers or therapists for support. Make sure you get all the answers you need from your Doctor so you are clear on the plan and what you need to heal well. Surround yourself with positive people who are encouraging to you.

The best thing I did for me was to create and listen to a cancer healing script that helped me feel comforted and strong, and that I had the power to get healthy and whole again.
